The Berks-Mont Vipers is a non-profit, all volunteer
corporation
formed in 2001 to promote youth basketball in Berks, Chester
and Montgomery counties.
In 2001 the Berks-Mont Vipers had two boys teams. Our
2001 teams consisted of twenty-two 14 and 15 year old boys
from the local areas. Our players were comprised of
eight local public and parochial schools.
2002 was a year of rapid growth for the Berks-Mont
Vipers. We added a 12 and 13 year old girls team (Lady
Vipers) and expanded our boys teams by adding 12 and 16 year
old boys. Our 2002 roster was comprised of 70 players
from 23 different public and private schools.
In 2003 The Vipers added a boys 17 year old team and a
girls 14 year old team. Our 2003 roster was comprised
of 92 players from 27 different public and private schools.
In 2003 the Vipers had a team to compete in AAU Nationals held
in Orlando, Florida. The Vipers also became a
Pennsylvania Non-Profit Corporation.
The 2004 season will be another year of growth. The
Vipers will add a girls 15 year old team.
